A Little Closer to Home…
The last couple weeks I’ve enjoyed following the Vacaville High School football and cheer teams (proud parent of a varsity cheerleader this year).
A few weeks ago, I asked you all for recommendations of worthy charities and you answered the call. I’d like to highlight Funky Chicken Rescue. It’s a local, non-profit animal rescue doing some amazing work.
They’ll be hosting their Funky Fall Festival on October 6th. It’s their largest fundraiser of the year if you’re interested in supporting a great cause while enjoying food trucks, live music and wine tasting.
Until next week, try to stay cool. I’m sure that fall weather is just around the corner. Take care!
