Happy Friday the 13th! This week we saw local public safety organizations paying tribute to the victims of 9/11. The City Council also had some conversations about public safety. And as usual, we have some fun things happening this weekend…

City Council Discusses Status of Fire Department Fleet

Tuesday’s Council Meeting was mostly about the state of the Vacaville Fire Department fleet. Rising costs and extended delivery times for fire equipment have caused challenges, but the City says it has a plan to make needed replacements. READ MORE

Goodbye Pink Firetruck! Pink Heals Solano Shuts Down

For ten years, Pink Heals Solano has brought out its pink firetruck to local events and supported families battling cancer. The Solano County chapter of Pink Heals sadly announced last week that it was closing. The big pink firetruck (named “Christine”) found a new home with the Norcal Emergency Responders Organization. 

We’ll miss Christine and all the support Pink Heals has provided our community over the years!
