Wow, it was windy last night! Hope everyone is ok. It’s prime fire season and some of us have experienced power outages. Thankfully, we have a lot we can go out and do this weekend…

Critical Fire Weather Continues

Solano County Office of Emergency Services warns that strong winds are expected to continue through Saturday. PG&E public safety power shutoffs may continue to occur. You can check the PG&E outage map here. Sign up for emergency notifications from Alert Solano and look up your evacuation zone. 

Meet an Original ‘Rosie the Riveter’

Jeanne Gibson is a local, real-life “Rosie the Riveter” who welded in Seattle shipyards at the age of 18 to support the war effort during World War II. She’ll be doing a meet and greet at Vacaville’s Rowland Freedom Center this Saturday (10/19) from 12:30 - 2:00.

Vaca High Girls Are Dominating in Sports

This week, two Vacaville High School girls teams are making their hometown proud. VHS took the first ever MEL championship in girls flag football. Nobody else will ever be able to claim that!

Also, the VHS girls varsity volleyball team is first in their league with an 11-0 league record. Congrats to both!

Last Farmer’s Market of the Year is October 26th
