Mountain Lion in Downtown Vacaville
This is crazy! Last Friday, city officials released a public safety alert after a mountain lion was seen wandering the streets of downtown Vacaville. A resident’s camera recorded the lion at 1:50 AM on August 17th in an alley between West and Cernon Streets. This is a highly trafficked residential area near downtown. READ MORE
Solano County Coroner Identifies Body After 23 Years Using DNA
As promised, we are following up on news from last week. The Solano County Sheriff’s Office announced it would release its first success from the “Doe Cold Case Project.”
In 2001, a body was located in the water near Rio Vista. After 23 years, the Sheriff’s Office identified the remains as those of a missing man from Sacramento. Improved DNA technology is credited for the breakthrough in the case. READ MORE
Man Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges at Train Station
On Tuesday, Fairfield Police responded to the Amtrak station on Vanden Road for an assault in progress. The responding officer intervened and chased down 53-year-old Terrance Royston Sr., who was arrested on charges including assault with intent to commit rape. READ MORE

I was surprised to see Jason Aldean is playing at Thunder Valley Casino on September 12th. I’m probably not going to make it 😔
