🤠Wild West Weekend, Hit & Run Arrest, & Another Pedestrian Hit
A big weekend ahead of us and hopefully it will finally cool down…
It’s Wild West Weekend in Vacaville
This weekend is the two-day event which combines the city’s 6th annual Wild West Film Festival with other western themed events downtown. There’s line dancing lessons at Journey on Saturday. There’s a chili cook-off and mercantile market on Sunday with live music and kids activities. The Main Grape’s Wine & Beer Festival was rescheduled for May.
Arrest Made in Hit & Run Which Injured a Man & Dog
Last week we shared the story of a hit and run that injured a man and his dog at the intersection of Browns Valley & Vaca Valley. This week, Vacaville PD arrested a 21 year-old Vacaville resident in connection with the collision. A Go Fund Me campaign has raised about $5,000 for the dog’s vet bills. READ MORE
Another Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Collision
At about 8:00 AM on Thursday, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Alamo Drive near El Camino Avenue. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries. One More Thing…
I got to spend a few days in Tahoe this week. It reminded me how many things we have to do within driving distance from home. Whether it’s visiting the wine country, Lake Berryessa, the Sierras, or other things Sacramento and the Bay Area have to offer, we have a lot of options nearby.
Just another reason I love calling Vacaville home.
